New Delhi: With the successful conclusion of the G20 Summit and unanimous approval of the New Delhi Declaration, the international media has heaped praise on India, acknowledging its growing influence as the representative voice of the Global South.

The Washington Post commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his adept handling of global concerns and securing unanimous consensus on all developmental and geopolitical matters. The post lead with a story titled, “India forges compromise among divided world powers at the G20 summit in a diplomatic win for Modi.”

Based in Dubai, the Gulf News emphasized the 18th G20 Summit’s role in shaping a harmonious and diverse global landscape, highlighting the event with the headline, “18th G20 Summit: Shaping a world of diversity and harmony.”

As the G20 Summit concluded with several productive initiatives, the British daily broadsheet, The Telegraph, pondered India’s emergence as a focal point of the New World Order. Their headline read, “Why India is poised to become the centre of the New World Order.”

Throughout the G20 Summit, India’s presidency underscored the importance of global multi-stakeholder collaboration in addressing common challenges, such as the climate crisis, and illuminated the path toward global harmony and green finance.

Qatar-based Al Jazeera drew attention to Russia’s appreciation for the balanced declaration as the G20 Summit concluded. Their headline declared, “Russia praises ‘balanced’ declaration as summit concludes.”

South China Morning Post story read “US, Russia praise G20 summit declaration as India meeting closes.”

US President Joe Biden on Sunday had said that this year’s G20 summit has proved that the group can still drive solutions to the most pressing issues of the climate crisis, fragility, and conflict.
