Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala is likely to experience heavy rainfall today, as per the India Meteorological Department’s forecast. Over the next three hours, isolated showers are anticipated in the districts of Alappuzha, Kottayam, Malappuram, Wayanad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod.

Currently, a cyclone is hovering over south-east Uttar Pradesh and north-east Madhya Pradesh. In light of this, the authorities informed that the rains are likely to continue in Kerala for the next five days.

At the same time, the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services  (INCOIS) has advised caution for the Kerala coast. They have issued a warning of potential high tides and sea storms along the Kerala coast until 5:30 pm. As a result, fishermen and coastal residents are strongly advised to exercise caution during this period.
