Mumbai: Maharashtra government has arranged six special trains named ‘NAMO Express’ and 300 buses for devotees going to Konkan region. The vehicle facility has been arranged for the devotees, ahead of the Ganesha Chaturthi festival.  The first Namo train will leave Mumbai’s Dadar Junction for Konkan on Thursday night. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will flag off the train. Apart from this BJP has arranged 300 buses for devotees going to Konkani.

Under the Uddhav Thackeray-led government, there were restrictions on holding Hindu celebrations in the state. Now, as the government has changed, those problems have disappeared. BJP will support Ganesha devotees going to Konkan. BJP MLA Nitish Rane said that BJP has arranged six trains from Mumbai to Konkan for the festival.

Every year lakhs of people travel from Mumbai to their native Konkan to celebrate Ganesh Festival. Ganesh Chaturthi is considered as the biggest festival in the Konkan region. The 10-day long festival is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in Maharashtra. It is difficult for public to get train and bus tickets at this time. The BJP has arranged Namo Express and buses on this occasion.
