New Delhi: All India Majilis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi, said that Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, won Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency with the help from Indian Union Muslim League. Owaisi also expressed his dissatisfaction with the INDI Alliance and said that being part of that alliance is suffocating.
Asaduddin Owaisi was speaking at book release function when he made these remarks.
Owaisi said that the victory of Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad is due to Muslim League, which a Congress’ ally in Kerala. He asked how did Rahul Gandhi who lost in Amethi won from Wayanadu. That is because there is presence of Muslim League in Wayanad.
The Hyderabad MP said that it was Muslim League who saved Rahul Gandhi from political death.
Asaduddin Owaisi also remarked about his party joining the INDI Alliance. He blamed the alliance leaders and said that they said that if his party joined the INDI Alliance, then the alliance will not get votes from Hindu community. He added that he was is not taking it seriously.
Owaisi said that ideologically, the INDI Alliance is a failure. They do not have the strength to face the ideology of BJP. We are not party of INDI Alliance and we are not taking it seriously. He added that if his party is part of the alliance then the AIMIM will die due to suffocation.
Rahul Gandhi had in June told that the Muslim League is a completely secular party. He had said that there is nothing non-secular about the Muslim league.
