Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan remains enigmatic regarding the controversy surrounding monthly payments. CM vehemently denies any involvement, asserting that the ‘PV’ notation in the diary does not pertain to him. He accuses central agencies of manipulating his name for political purposes and lambasts the media for their vested interests in this matter.

Regarding the IT company’s services, the Chief Minister downplays the situation, emphasising that it is standard practice for such a company to provide services. He said that there are no apparent financial irregularities in his records, and he decried attempts to tarnish his reputation. CM suggests that political motivations are at play among those involved.

He also addresses his recent absence from the media, attributing it to voice issues. He assures that he will continue to engage with the media when necessary, finding nothing unusual in his prior absence.

However, when confronted with specific questions related to the monthly payment controversy, the Chief Minister did not provide a definitive response. He reiterated that he is not the ‘PV’ alluded to in the allegations and laid blame on both the media and central agencies, contending that they are orchestrating an attempt to discredit him. He avoided delving further into the monthly payment issue, maintaining that the funds were disbursed to his daughter’s company for the provision of services. The press conference concluded without a clear resolution to the controversy.
