Kozhikode: A twenty-member gang of CPI(M) goons, led by party local secretary, attacked the house of a BJP activist at Thiruvambadi in Kozhikode. The attackers used deadly weapons to unleash violence against the BJP activist’s house.
The BJP activist, Sasi, is the BJP’s Thiruvambadi Mandalam President. The attack occurred at 1 am, when a twenty-member gang of communist goons led by Puthupady party local secretary, Shyjal, entered Sasi’s house and wrecked havoc.
The goons using long swords and other deadly weapons smashed the window glasses and destroyed the vehicles parked at the house premise. The attackers then entered the house and threatened the family members including the women.
According to a complaint, the attackers also stole Rs.7 lakhs and gold from the house. Local residents say that the attack was a result of a verbal spat that occurred earlier. The Thamarassery police have registered a case and begun investigation into the attack.
