Thiruvananthapuram: As more details are emerging in the money-for-job scam involving Kerala Health Minister, Veena George’s office, the Yuva Morcha has requested the Central Ministry to look into the matter.
Yuva Morcha State President, CR Praphul Krishnan, has shot a letter to Union Minister of Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal. The Yuva Morcha leader has requested his intervention in the matter and also asked for a proper investigation into it.
Praphul Krishnan said that the appointments at Ayush Kendra made by the state government are under suspicion. He also said that the appointments and recruitments in all the departments in Kerala are under nepotism and corruption. This nepotism and corruption is due to the unholy nexus between party leaders and politically biased bureaucrats.
The letter also details the current money-for-job scam involving Health Minister, Veena George’s office. The letter outlines Haridasan Kummali’s accusation that he paid Rs.1 lakh to Akhil Mathew, a staff at Veena George’s office. Haridasan had also paid another Rs.75,000 to Akhil Sajeev who is a CITU leader at Pathanamthitta.
According to the letter, Haridasan had paid the money to ensure that his daughter-in-law gets a temporary appointment at Ayush Kendra begun by the National Ayush Mission. However, Haridasan was duped and the appointment order was a fake. The letter also mentions that Haridasan had written a complaint to the Kerala Health Minister but no effective action was taken.
