Modi trolls Priyanka Vadra big time

Bikaner: Narendra Modi took a dig at Congress General Secretary, Priyanka Vadra, at a rally in Bikaner, Rajasthan. He was referring to the recent news that showed the Congress leader taking snakes in her hands and petting them.

Modi said that once the Congress had entertained foreign dignitaries with snakes and snake charmers. He continued that this gave out the image that India was a place of snake charmers and magic.

However, the image of India has changed a lot now, the Prime Minister said and added that the people have computers in their hands.

Priyanka Vadra was projected as the ultimate nemesis to Narendra Modi when she was inducted officially into a party role by the Congress. However, her steam soon ran out and she could not counter the BJP war horse effectively.

Congress then gave indirect hints that Priyanka Vadra would contest against Narendra Modi at Varanasi to keep the Congress workers and its allies excited. Pro Congress media houses spend hours discussing the turn of tide in Congress’ favours once she enters the fray against the Prime Minister.

Even the Congress President, Rahul Gandhi, also gave subtle hints about his sister’s entry into poll politics.

However, that too lost steam after a few days when the Congress officially declared Ajay Rai as its candidate. No Congress leader ever gave a reason why Priyanka backed off at the last moment from facing Narendra Modi.

Her last minute flight from electoral fight dented her already fragile image. Just like her brother, Priyanka Vadra is now seen as someone who would shirk from a commanding leadership role when faced with big challenges.

Some political experts believe that she backed off to avoid citing her assets in the nomination papers. Her husband Robert Vadra is already under the scanner for money laundering and appropriating lands illegally.
