KASARAGOD: K Surendran, the BJP State President, strongly criticised the Kerala state government in response to the pro-Hamas statements made by leaders of the ruling CPI(M).
During a press conference held in Kasaragod, Surendran criticised that CPI(M) leaders in Kerala have been expressing pro-Hamas sentiments in the context of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, known for its involvement in acts of terrorism in Israel. He accused the CPI(M) of exploiting the Israel-Palestine issue to create communal divisions in Kerala by supporting terrorist activities.
Surendran also mentioned the presence of sleeper cells of terrorist groups operating in Kerala. He alleged that the CPI(M) has adopted a stance in support of Muslim terrorism as part of their vote-bank strategy. He urged the UDF to clarify its position on the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Previously, both the LDF and UDF had opposed the Vizhinjam International Port project in Thiruvananthapuram. However, the port is now operational due to the efforts of Narendra Modi’s BJP government. Consequently, both political fronts are vying for credit for the project’s success.
Discussions about the allocation of seats in Kerala are ongoing, and there is no conflict among NDA members. The NDA constituent parties will convene a meeting in Kochi tomorrow.
Surendran clarified that the final decision will be made by the central committee.
