Narendra Modi took a 2 km trek through rough mountain roads to reach the cave. Dressed in saffron, the Prime Minister, entered the cave and ensued into a deep meditative pose sitting in the yogic padmasana.

According to reports the PM took the trek after offering prayers at the holy Kedranath temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Though media was allowed to picture the visuals of the PM inside the cave, no one including journalists or cameramen are allowed near the cave for the night.

Strict instructions have been given not to disturb Narendra Modi while he is in the cave. He is to be approached only for such important matters that needs his direct intervention.
