Kannur: Customs officials confiscated gold worth more than one crore rupees at Kannur International Airport. The arrested individuals are Jamshad, a native of Koduvally, Kozhikode, Rafeeq, a native of Thalangara, Kasaragod, and Al Ameen, a native of Udma. A total of 1,687 grams of gold was seized from them.
Last day, customs seized 1,212 grams of gold worth Rs 73.56 lakh at Kannur airport. The gold was recovered from Alageshwara Rajendran, a native of Tamil Nadu who had arrived from Sharjah.
