Ernakulam: The identification parade of the accused in the Kalamassery blast case has been completed. Ernakulam Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court (CJM Court) had given the permission for the recognition parade.  Participants in the parade recognized Dominic Martin and said he was seen outside the hall during the event.

The identification parade began at 3 pm on Friday, November 3, at Kakkanad District Jail. Police had asked people who had attended the convention to report if they had seen Dominic Martin in the area before or after the explosion. The identification parade was held on this basis.

Two out of the three Jehovah’s Witnesses who participated in the identification parade identified Dominic Martin. The identification parade was held in the presence of the Judge of Ernakulam Judicial Magistrate Court No.8.

A series of explosions rocked the international convention center in Kalamassery on October 29. The venue was hosting members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, a minority Christian group, for the concluding day of their three-day prayer meeting. There were more than 2000 people in attendance. Witnesses inside the venue had reported a series of three explosions had occurred in the vicinity of the stage. Three people lost their lives and over 50 people were injured in the explosion.
