Thrissur: Southern Railway General Manager RN Singh visited the Guruvayur temple in Thrissur. He arrived at the temple at nine o’clock yesterday(Nov 04) morning.
RN Singh, along with his family, visited the temple after the Pantheeradi puja. During their visit, he participated in the Tulabharam ritual, where he weighed himself using lotus flowers. A total of 80 kg of lotus flowers were used for the Tulabharam. It’s noteworthy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi also partook in a similar ritual by weighing lotus flowers during his visit to Guruvayur in 2019.
The lotus flower holds significant importance as a Tulabara material in the Guruvayur temple, where devotees weigh themselves with lotus flowers to seek karmic gains, longevity, and spiritual strength.
