Alappuzha: The Alappuzha District Collector, John V Samuel, has addressed the matter of extending support to the family of Prasad, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activist who committed suicide in Kuttanad. Prasad had previously served as the district president of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Alappuzha district.
District Collector John V Samuel visited Prasad’s house in Thakazhi at noon today, where he spoke to Prasad’s wife, Omana, and other family members. During a media briefing following the visit, the collector revealed that the family did not make any specific requests, but he gave a report to the government about helping the family.
The post-mortem report on Prasad’s suicide has been released, confirming that he died from consuming poison. The Ambalapuzha police received the report this morning. Samples have been sent to experts for chemical analysis to determine the specific poison ingested.
