THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Amidst several controversies surrounding Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ extravagant trip, photographs of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s travel on the Vande Bharat train in Kerala are going viral.

Minister Nirmala Sitharaman herself shared the photographs of her journey on the Vande Bharat train via her official Twitter account. Describing it as a ‘pleasant experience’ and a ‘great opportunity to interact with passengers,’ she expressed her fondness for train travel.

Several fellow passengers took selfies with Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during the journey.

The Minister embarked on the Vande Bharat train after attending the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Income Tax office, ‘Aayakar Bhawan,’ in Kochi. Her journey extended from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram, where she traveled alongside other passengers.

Several social media users shared the photos, praising the Minister’s simplicity.

She commended the railway ministry and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing semi-high-speed trains in the country, acknowledging their popularity and full bookings.
