Kannur : Actor and BJP leader, Suresh Gopi, extended a helping hand to 21-year-old Riswana, a resident of Pilathara, Kannur who has been facing difficulties due to cerebral palsy. Suresh Gopi generously contributed Rs 3 lakhs towards Riswana’s surgery, which will be conducted at the MIMS Hospital.
Suresh Gopi personally contacted Riswana to inform her about covering the entire expense of her surgery. Additionally, he extended an invitation to Riswana to attend his daughter’s wedding reception in Thiruvananthapuram.
Sajna, Riswana’s mother, expressed her gratitude to Suresh Gopi for the invaluable financial assistance of her daughter’s treatment. The surgery is scheduled to take place on the 11th of this month.
Sajna had been tirelessly trying to fund her daughter’s medical needs by selling their house, land, and by taking loans. Her deepest wish is to witness her daughter walk.
Riswana has already undergone 13 surgeries in the past. The news of Sajna, who sustains her livelihood through sewing, struggling to gather enough funds for her daughter’s surgery was widely circulated on social media. It was after seeing a social media post that Suresh Gopi stepped in to provide the much-needed support.
