K Surendran foresees strong foothold for 2024 Lok Sabha election, slams Congress’  ‘divisive tactics’

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After the remarkable win in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan assembly elections, Kerala’s BJP president K Surendran highlighted this as a major step forward for BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Addressing the media, Surendran asserted that the success in these three states highlights the electorate’s strong stance against corruption, appeasement, and dynastic politics.

However, despite the defeat, the Congress seems unwilling to acknowledge it. Surendran said that by saying BJP can only win in North India, the Congress party is stimulating separatism and discrimination in the country.

Surendran criticized the Congress for consistently resorting to tactics of misleading the public after electoral losses. This time, by suggesting that BJP can only succeed in the North, they are stimulating divisive sentiments.

Surendran also questioned the credibility of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in this context. Surendran accused the CPI(M), despite a washout in all contested constituencies, of fueling discrimination by promoting a ‘North-South’ divide.

Surendran pointed out that Goa and Puducherry are currently BJP rule, Karnataka previously had BJP governance, and it now stands as a powerful opposition. He highlighted that there exists no ‘North-South’ divide, contrary to the narratives propagated by Congress and CPI(M). BJP treats all states equally without any bias or discrimination.

Moreover, Surendran confidently stated that the BJP is poised to win more Lok Sabha seats, including in Kerala, in the 2024 elections. He reiterated that the INDI Alliance’s defeat would be repeated in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

He concluded by emphasizing that the recent election results are a evidence to the public’s trust in the BJP and a nod to the developmental initiatives undertaken by the Narendra Modi government.
