THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Following the Kerala state government’s failure in crowd management and mistreatment of devotees at Sabarimala Temple, members of the Yuva Morcha staged a protest today at the Thiruvananthapuram secretariat, demanding an immediate solution to the crowd management issues at Sabarimala.
During the protest, the police used water cannons on the Yuva Morcha members, leading to clashes between the protesters and the police. Subsequently, some members sat on the road, engaging in a roadblock protest against the government’s mistreatment of Sabarimala devotees. They were later arrested and removed.
Several leaders of Yuva Morcha, including Kerala state Yuva Morcha President CR Praphul Krishnan, participated in the protest. The demonstration was held in response to the government’s failure in crowd management and mistreatment of devotees at Sabarimala. They accused the Kerala government of deliberately creating difficulties for devotees discourage visits to the temple.
