Ernakulam: The government faced a backlash as High Court says Nava Kerala Sadas cannot be held in temple premises. The High Court’s order came on a petition filed by devotees against organizing the Nava Kerala Sadas in the grounds of the Chakkuvally Parabrahma Temple. The High Court issued an order cancelling the permission given by the Devaswom Board to hold the Nava Kerala Sadas in the temple grounds.
The High Court accepted the petition filed by the devotees stating that holding Nava Kerala Sadas on the temple grounds would affect the rituals of the temple. The government had informed the court that the venue of the event is a no man’s land and that currently the land of the temple is under the Travancore Devaswom Board.
The event in Kollam was scheduled for 18th of this month. The court order has come at a time when the venue for the Nava Kerala Sadas is being prepared.
