Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State President K Surendran announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kerala has been rescheduled to January 3. Initially planned for January 2, the change in date was made for the convenience of the Prime Minister. During his visit, Modi will participate in the ‘Streeshakthi Modikkoppam’ (Women Power with Modi) women’s gathering in Thrissur, expected to draw a crowd of two lakh women.

The Prime Minister will address the public at Tekkinkadu Maidan in Thrissur, the venue for the women’s gathering, upon his arrival on January 3. The event will see the participation of women from various parts of the state. As a gesture of appreciation, the BJP Kerala unit will honour the Prime Minister for his role in passing the Women Reservation Bill in Parliament.
