THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Amid the surge in Covid cases in Kerala, the Union Health Ministry has sought a comprehensive report from the Kerala state Chief Secretary. Expressing concern, the Ministry has labeled the Covid situation in Kerala as very serious.
The Union Health Ministry directed the Kerala Chief Secretary to furnish a detailed report on the current Covid scenario in Kerala. Earlier, the Union Ministry had alerted the Kerala state Health department about the escalating situation.
The communication to the Chief Secretary seeks data on the number of Covid tests conducted, the count of individuals receiving treatment, number of recovered patients, the treatment method and specifics of the death reports. It is also emphasized the necessity for the Kerala government to outline the measures being implemented to retreat the alarming state of affairs within the state.
