Ernakulam: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has officially filed a complaint with the police regarding the incident in which an SFI leader insulted a Gandhi statue. KM Vishnu, a member of the State Working Committee, submitted the complaint.
Athil Nassar, a member of the SFI Aluva area committee, is accused of disrespecting the Gandhi statue by placing a cooling glass on it and taking photographs. Athil Nassar, who also serves as a union leader at Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies in Choondy, allegedly carried out the disrespectful act on the Gandhi statue within the college premises. He mocked Gandhi in the pictures, saying that the leader is already deceased. The incident, captured on camera, has gained public attention, prompting ABVP to take formal action by filing a complaint with the police.
