Newborn baby found dead in a well in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram: A newborn baby was found dead inside a well in Pothencode, Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased infant was only 36 days old. The child’s body was retrieved from the well.

Sridev, the son of the couple Surita, Saji went missing around 3:30 in the morning. Subsequently, they reported it to the police. Upon the police’s arrival at the spot, they discovered the infant’s body inside the well. The police grew suspicious upon finding the baby’s towel on the well’s wall and alerted the fire brigade. The fire department arrived and retrieved the baby.

The police have conducted a preliminary investigation and are currently interrogating the baby’s mother.
