KOTTAYAM: The CBI has released further details regarding the Jesna missing case, stating that her disappearance is not linked to religious terrorism and the report also emphasizes that there is no evidence suggesting Jesna’s death.
Jesna’s father and her friend underwent a Polygraph test (Lie Detector Test), conducted by the police, but no suspicious evidence was found. Additionally, it was revealed that Jesna did not use social media platforms.
Despite police investigations conducted in other states, the investigation team failed to uncover any evidence on any lead.
Given these circumstances, the CBI has confirmed that the investigation will continue.
According to police reports, Jesna Maria James, a second-year B.Com student at St. Dominic College in Kanjirappally, Kottayam district, went missing on March 22, 2018, while traveling from her home in Erumeli to a relative’s house in Mundakayam. Despite extensive investigations by the Police, Special Investigation Team, and Crime Branch, yielding no results, the case was eventually transferred to the CBI.
