Kollam: Police removed a protest banner erected by the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) targeting Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan at the Kerala School Kalolsavam venue in Asramam Maidanam. The police action was initiated following coverage by Janam TV News, which reported the protest.

The SFI protest, marked by the display of a banner against the Governor, took place at the main venue, Asramam Maidanam. This incident is part of a series of protests by SFI members against the Governor across various educational institutions in Kerala, including Calicut University, Kerala University, University College, Government Sanskrit College, and others.

Earlier, BJP state president K Surendran said that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] is afraid of losing control over university administrations in Kerala. Governor Arif Mohammed Khan stopped the illegal appointments of wives of CPI (M) leaders in universities, party appointments, and the appointment of unqualified vice chancellors. The declining influence of CPI (M) in university affairs has resulted in dissatisfaction towards the Governor.
