THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP Kerala State President K Surendran exposed the Congress party’s dual stance towards the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ (Consecration) ceremonies scheduled for January 22, 2024, at the Ayodhya Ram Temple.
Surendran mentioned that the Congress is ignoring the sentiments of Hindu believers in the country. Surendran urged the Congress to clarify its stance on the Ayodhya Consecration ceremonies and questioned whether the party fears anyone. He also announced plans for special ceremonies and poojas in Kerala’s temples on January 22, 2024, with lights to be lit in households.
Surendran expressed confidence that even if the Congress and CPI(M) jointly oppose it, the ceremonies will proceed. He questioned Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal for not yet providing the clear stance on behalf of the party on Ayodhya Consecration.
He accused the Congress party of holding different stances in various states regarding the opinion on the Ayodhya Temple. While Congress representatives in some states have confirmed attendance at the Consecration ceremony, nobody from Kerala has expressed their opinion, which is significant given that senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is an MP from Kerala.
Surendran questioned whether Congress fears leaders of the Muslim League, the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI), or the Samastha organization, urging them to state their position.
Surendran then spoke about Thrissur MP TN Prathapan, asserting firmly that Prathapan has connections with the Popular Front. Surendran mentioned taking up Prathapan’s challenge by presenting evidence to prove Prathapan’s PFI connections.
Surendran accused Prathapan of protecting accused PFIs involved in the murder of Noushad, a resident of Punna in Chavakkad.
Surendran said that Abdul Hameed, a PFI member is managing TN Prathapan’s social media. Surendran referenced Abdul Hameed, who was questioned in connection with the Jamia Millia case, alleging his involvement in the Delhi riots. Surendran also cited that Congress leaders in Thrissur directly blamed Prathapan for protecting accused PFI leaders involved in the murder.
