Idukki: The LDF calls for a hartal in Idukki today to protest Governor Arif Mohammed Khan’s visit. The hartal coincides with the Governor’s scheduled visit to Thodupuzha to inaugurate the Karunyam project of the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES).
However, the KVVES has declared their intention to proceed with their program despite the LDF’s hartal. They have affirmed their decision not to yield to the protest. The Governor also clarified that he was not afraid of any protests. Quoting the Kozhikode example, he said that he was willing to walk on the road if necessary.
