Does AAP Minister Imran Hussain have any part  in the vandalizing of the Hindu temple in Delhi?

New Delhi: The BJP has accused an Aam Admi Party (AAP) Minister, Imran Hussain, for being present among the mob that vandalized a Hindu temple on Hauz Qazi area on Delhi on the night of June 30.

The BJP accused the Minister for being part of the fanatical Muslim mob after  ‘Times Now’ released videos that show the Minister in midst of the crowd which desecrated the Durga temple.

BJP MLA Kapil Mishra tweeted, “Kejriwal’s minister Imran Hussain himself came to break the Hindu temple that night. This is the reason for Kejriwal’s criminal silence. Imran Hussain, who broke the temple, must be arrested immediately.”

According to a report by ‘Times Now’, the AAP Minister was present at the police station one hour before the temple was desecrated by a mob.

Imran Hussain has himself clarified that he was part of the mob that thronged the police station after two were arrested, Mohammad Anas and Mohammad Zubair, for altercation with Sanjeev Gupta over a parking issue.

However, he claims that he was there after the SHO of the police station summoned him. ANI reports that he said, “Muslim and Hindu brothers sat down together that night at the police station and hugged, I was also present there. Neither Hindus nor Muslims want riots here.”

A mob of Muslim fanatics vandalized the Durga temple shortly after people gathered in front of the police station. This has raised the doubts about the AAP Minister’s presence in the area.

Meanwhile, a youth who was missing since the day of the event returned home after three days and reported that he was assaulted by Muslim men after realizing that he was a Hindu.

So far, the police were able to arrest only four persons which include a minor. This has infuriated the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who pulled up Delhi Police Commissioner, Amulya Patnaik, and admonished him for the lapse from the part of the Delhi police.
