Thiruvananthapuram: The price of gold has witnessed no fluctuations, holding steady at Rs 46,160 in the market. The New Year ushered in a brief surge in gold price on January 1, but since January 3, a consistent decline has been observed, resulting in a week-long drop of Rs 740.
Yesterday marked a further decrease, with a dip of Rs 80 per sovereign gold, placing the current rate at Rs 5,770 per gram for 22-carat gold. Meanwhile, a gram of 18-carat gold is priced at Rs 470.
Contrastingly, the price of silver remains constant. The market price of common silver stands at Rs 78 per gram, with no alterations in the rates for Hallmark silver, maintaining a steady Rs 103 per gram.
