Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan, criticized the cyber attacks against playback singer KS Chithra. Muraleedharan expressed shock upon hearing the news that KS Chithra was facing cyber bullying over her remarks on the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. Speaking to the media in Thiruvananthapuram, he conveyed his dissatisfaction at such intolerant behaviour from Kerala.

Muraleedharan emphasized that Chithra has the right to express her opinions and beliefs, stating that she did not make any hatred speech in her video. Muraleedharan also pointed out that individuals who had attempted to violate rituals at Sabarimala are now launching cyber attacks against KS Chithra.

In her video post, Chithra said, “My salutations to all. When the Pran Prathishtha ceremony is held in Ayodhya on January 22, everybody should chant the Ram mantra ‘Sri Rama, Jayarama, Jaya Jaya Rama’ at 12.20 pm. In the evening, five-wick lamps should be lit in the house, praying that God’s blessings may be showered upon everyone. Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu.”

Following her video, left-wing supporters and radical Islamists launched widespread cyber attacks against KS Chithra after she suggested that all devotees should light lamps in their homes in connection with the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ (Consecration) ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

K Surendran, the BJP Kerala state President, also strongly criticized the cyber attacks against KS Chithra. Surendran remarked that Chithra is facing such cyber attacks because she believes in Sanatana Dharma, and he added that such incidents only happen in Kerala. This reveals that law and order in Kerala are completely out of control.
