Kottayam: Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam (SNDP) General Secretary Vellappally Natesan stated that Congressmen are the ones who have compromised their ideals for the sake of the vote bank. His remarks were made at a program held in Vaikom, Kottayam, ahead of the Prana Prathista ceremony of the Lord Rama temple in Ayodhya. Vellapally Natesan strongly criticized the Congress’ decision to boycott the ceremony in Ayodhya.
“Tomorrow the lamp will be lit at the Ram Temple. How long did it take the Indian National Congress to give its opinion to decide whether to go there or not?” This is because the party is spineless in expressing its own opinion. If Rahul wants to win in Wayanad, whose vote does he need? Some might interpret my words as addressing caste and communalism. But this is true. All the parties are trying to secure the seat of power by burying ideals to satisfy the vote bank”, said Vellapally Natesan.
