Kozhikode: The children of elderly disabled man who took his life in Kozhikode blamed government for the neglect towards non-payment of their father’s pension. They revealed that despite their father’s struggles to receive his pension, authorities consistently ignored him.
“No action has been taken despite complaining to the authorities several times of not getting the pension. Our father also advocated for locals facing issues with pension and title deeds. It has been five months since the pension amount was received. Our only income was the pension received from the government ”, said the children. They also added that they did not even have money to buy medicine.
