Ernakulam: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has approached the High Court against the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) in the Masala Bond case, citing non-cooperation in their ongoing investigation. The ED informed the court that, despite multiple requests, KIIFB has not provided the necessary documents relevant to the investigation.
The ED informed the court that they sent many summons to produce documents, but the institution, as well as its officers, were not cooperating with the procedures. In response, the ED submitted an affidavit to the court opposing KIIFB’s petition challenging the summons.
Senior CPI (M) leader and former Kerala finance minister TM Thomas Isaac have been summoned for questioning in the Masala bond case. The ED directed him to appear on January 22, but Thomas Isaac informed the ED that he could not attend the interrogation due to health problems.
