Thiruvananthapuram: Prominent film producer and actor G Suresh Kumar took over the leadership of Janam TV as its Executive Chairman. RSS Dakshina Bharat Vishesh Sampark Pramukh and Prabhari, Jayakumar, conveyed his greetings to him at a function held at Janam TV’s Thiruvananthapuram studio office on Friday.
Janam TV MD and Udaya Samudra Group Chairman S. Rajasekharan Nair welcomed him into the Janam TV family with a bouquet of flowers. Directors Sajeevan Parambil and SJR Kumar were also present on the occasion. Prominent film director Priyadarshan is the Chairman of Janam TV.
G. Suresh Kumar graduated in Commerce from the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. He made his debut in Malayalam cinema as a co-director of the 1978 Malayalam feature film ‘Thiranottam’. He is the producer of Malayali’s many of the all-time favorite films like Poochakkoru Mookutthi, Araam Thampuran, Odaruthammava Aalariam, Akkare Ninnoru Maran, Kashmeeram, Kuberan and Neelathamara.
Suresh Kumar, who has strong nationalist views, had recently joined the BJP. He is currently a member of the BJP state committee. Actress Menaka is his wife and Actress Keerthy Suresh and Revathi are his children.
