Jaipur: ANI reports that on 10 July, young boys belonging to RSS were beaten up after a mob of Muslim fundamentalists attacked a shaka in Bundi, Rajasthan. The shaka was in progress at Naval Sagar Park when the attack occurred. The area has a sizeable Muslim population and the shaka activities of the RSS have irked the local population.

According to an RSS volunteer, “It is not an old matter. We used to organize our sessions in this park. On Wednesday evening, people from Muslim community opposed the session and started using abusive language for us. When we asked them to move away, they began fighting with us. A few of them beat up our children. “

The police have so far arrested three men in connection with the incident; however, the RSS functionaries are not satisfied with the investigation. The arrested are now released on bail.

The Superintendent of Police sought to downplay the incident. He said that the patrol team is keeping vigilant around the park.

He said, “We are investigating the matter. It was not a serious case, an altercation took place between RSS volunteers and some Muslims. If anyone found guilty, we will surely arrest them.”

Meanwhile, the issue has rocked the Rajasthan Assembly which witnessed protests from BJP lawmakers. BJP MLA Madan Dilawar said that such acts of attacks against RSS will not be tolerated by the BJP and demanded strong action against the culprits.

The MLA also accused the police of registering FIRs against only 5 individuals when around 50 people were involved in the attack.
