Alappuzha: Alappuzha South Police have registered a case against six individuals for inciting violence against the judge who delivered the verdict in the Ranjith Sreenivasan murder case. Through social media, supporters of the banned terrorist organization PFI abused and threatened Judge VG Sridevi.
Three individuals, residents of Mannanchery, Alappuzha and Pothencode , Thiruvananthapuram have been taken into police custody in connection with the incident. Judge VG Sridevi received police security following the raised death threats.
The Mavelikara Additional District Sessions Court recently handed down a death sentence to all the accused in the BJP OBC Morcha state secretary Ranjith Sreenivasan murder case, marking a significant milestone in the legal proceedings. Subsequently, Judge Sridevi faced a substantial cyberattack by terrorists affiliated with the Popular Front of India (PFI). Abusive posts targeting Judge Sridevi were identified on the Facebook pages of leaders associated with the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), accompanied by a picture of the judge.
