Ernakulam: With the Lok Sabha election approaching, social media is abuzz with rumours regarding the selection of candidates, including speculation about movie stars entering politics. Recently, there was widespread speculation on social media platforms that actor Siddique would be contesting as a Congress candidate in Alappuzha. However, Siddique himself addressed these rumours during an interview, stating that they are entirely baseless.
Siddique stated that the rumours circulating on social media about his potential candidature are not true. He clarified that neither has anyone from the Congress party approached him to contest in the election nor have any discussions taken place in this regard.
Despite his political stance and views, Siddique affirmed during the interview that he has not planned to enter politics thus far. While acknowledging his friendships within the political sphere, he asserted that he has not accepted membership in any political party.
