Wayanad: Amid concerns over the attack of a wild elephant in Wayanad, District Collector Renu Raj has issued an order to close all educational institutions in Tirunelly Panchayat and select areas of Manathavady municipality on Monday, February 12.
The decision comes after the unsuccessful attempt to capture the wild elephant, known as Belur Makhna. For security reasons, schools and colleges in Kurukkanmoola (Division 12), Kuruva (Division 13), and Payyambally (Division 15) of the Manathavady municipality will remain shut.
