Thrissur: SFI activists made another attempt to target Governor Arif Mohammad Khan in Engandiyur, Thrissur. More than ten individuals, carrying black flags, attempted to attack the governor’s vehicle. However, police swiftly intervened, arresting and removing 14 people, including two women, from the scene.
The Governor was visiting Thrissur to inaugurate a programme organised as part of the Navathi celebration of renowned historian and writer Velayudhan Panikkassery at Engandiyur.
This incident comes shortly after a similar attack on the governor in Palakkad. Last day, during his journey to attend a private function in Kanjikode, SFI members blocked the Governor with black flags. Those who were involved in the demonstration were arrested by the police.
