Idukki: Hartal has been announced today in Munnar in protest against the killing of a man in a wild elephant attack in Kannimala, Munnar. The hartal is being observed within the KDH village limits. The LDF has called for the hartal to save the face of the CPI(M).
It was yesterday( Monday) that Suresh Kumar, a native of Kannimala Estate, tragically died in a wild elephant attack. Suresh Kumar and his family were traveling in an auto when the wild elephant unexpectedly attacked them. Despite being rushed to the hospital after being kicked by the elephant, Suresh Kumar could not be saved. Two other individuals seriously injured in the wild elephant attack are currently hospitalized.
