BJP’s Thiruvananthapuram candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar promises to transform the city into South India’s leading IT hub

Thiruvananthapuram: Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the BJP Lok Sabha candidate in Thiruvananthapuram, emphasised the significant developments Bharat has witnessed under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in the last decade. He highlighted advancements across various sectors, including substantial investments, expanded employment opportunities, and improvements in the education system. He contrasted this with the period before 2014, alleging that the joint government of Congress and CPI (M) had led Bharat into a state of economic vulnerability, whereas under Modi’s governance, Bharat has grown stronger across all domains.

In terms of regional development, he noted the initial impact of technology proliferation in Kerala, particularly in Thiruvananthapuram. However, he lamented the state’s lag in fostering startups and attracting investments. Pledging to address this disparity, he assured the people of Thiruvananthapuram of implementing Modi’s initiatives to support the region’s technological infrastructure. He further pledged to elevate Thiruvananthapuram to the forefront of South India’s IT landscape.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar received a warm reception from BJP supporters upon his first visit to the capital following his candidature announcement. The BJP recently unveiled its first-phase candidate list for Kerala, including Rajeev Chandrasekhar among the 12 nominees.
