Ernakulam: BJP Kerala State Vice President and Malayalam film actor Devan criticized the Kerala government for not valuing human life in Kerala. Devan said that human life has no value in Kerala.

Devan was reacting to the brutal death of Siddharth, a Veterinary student at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) in Pookode, Wayanad, and the recent frequent incidents of people being killed by wild animal attacks in Kerala. Devan said that the Kerala government should take responsibility for deaths in Kerala. He added that Kerala is facing a situation where all people have to come to the streets and stage protests against the Kerala government.

Devan said that the Central government has provided several funds to Kerala for the protection of people from wildlife attacks. However, the funds are not being used properly by the Kerala government. He said that whether a human being is beaten to death or a human is killed by wild animals, the Kerala government is not taking responsibility. He questioned the silence of the Kerala government on these issues.

Devan said Kerala has been insecure for several years. This situation should be changed, and a solution is needed for that. He added that the people of Kerala should collectively protest against this.

Devan questioned the Kerala state Ministers for their silence on the incident where Siddharth, a veterinary student, was brutally assaulted to death the Veterinary University hostel.

Devan then said that in order to change the situation for people in Kerala whose lives are not valued by the Kerala government, people should come forward against this regardless of politics and religion.
