Siliguri: ABVP National General Secretary Shri Yagywalkya Shukla, CWC Member Shubhabrata Adhikary along with many students, including women activists, have been arrested by West Bengal Police for demanding justice for Sandeshkhali in Siliguri.
ABVP has been protesting against abuse of women in Sandeshkhali, a village in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The victims accused the local Trinamool Congress strongman Shajahan Sheikh and his supporters for sexually assaulting them and illegally usurping their land.
