Thiruvananthapuram: ‘Mahila Samanwaya Vedi’, Thiruvananthapuram, is organizing a protest tomorrow, against the bloodshed and political violence occurring in colleges and universities in Kerala. The focus of the protest will be on Siddharth, a second-year BVSc student of Pookode Veterinary Hospital, Wayanad, Thiruvananthapuram, who was recently found dead in his college hostel. Siddharth was brutally attacked inside the college campus by a group of people, including his fellow college mates.

Mahila Samanwaya Vedi, Thiruvananthapuram, is organizing the protest in front of the Secretariat, Thiruvananthapuram, on Thursday (March 14) at 4:30 pm.

Mahila Samanwaya Vedi, a women association, condemned Siddharth’s mysterious death. The association informed that they are conducting the protest to demand action against those responsible for Siddharth’s death. They also criticized the violence perpetrated by SFI members, asserting that such actions pollute the academic environment.

The association demands immediate action against the perpetrators to ensure justice for the veterinary student and his family. They also stated that such continuous violence and atrocities on campuses in Kerala are creating a fear-inducing situation for parents and students. They added that despite repeated incidents of violence and intimidation by SFI members in Kerala campuses, authorities have failed to take concrete action, a situation the ‘Mahila Samanwaya Vedi’ finds deeply concerning.
