Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices in the state have witnessed a decrease once again. After remaining unchanged on Wednesday, gold prices experienced a drop of Rs 20 per gram and Rs 160 per sovereign this morning. As of today, the market is trading gold at Rs 5,240 per gram and Rs 41,920 per sovereign. 18-carat gold has also seen a decline and is now selling for Rs. 4333 per gram.

On Tuesday, the gold price saw a significant drop of Rs 480 per sovereign and Rs 60 per gram. However, there was no change in prices yesterday. Over the course of the last four days, the price of a sovereign has witnessed a decline of Rs 780. At the beginning of October, gold was priced at Rs 42,680 per gram. However, it experienced a drop of Rs 120 to reach Rs 42,560 on Monday. After this, further decline was observed on Tuesday as well.

Gold has reached a six-month low in the market. Market experts suggest that the primary cause of the decline in gold prices is the trend in the global market. Meanwhile, there is no change in the price of silver in the state. The market price is Rs. 74. The hallmark silver price also remains unchanged. The hallmark silver price is Rs 103 per gram.
