Leh: In an interview, the Indian Naval Chief, Admiral Hari Kumar, expressed the Navy’s vision to have at least one sailor from all the villages and districts of the country.

Admiral Hari Kumar said that the aim of the Navy is to ensure that at least one sailor from all the villages and districts of the country. He added that in line with PM Narendra Modi’s vision, the Navy wants that in the near future, it should have one soldier from every part of the country and after that from every village of the country.

Admiral Hari Kumar was in Leh on July 6 as part of the Indian Navy’s outreach program to get more recruits from the Ladakh region. He revealed that only seven people from Ladakh are in the ranks of the Indian Navy at present and but is looking to recruit seven hundred from there to join the forces.

In the interview, the Admiral said that the Outreach mission is primarily because, with the Agniveer Scheme, the Prime Minister states that we should have one Agniveer from every village.

He also added that the north eastern region of India is the only region from which the volunteers and participants are minuscule, and only a handful is in the Indian Navy.
