THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malayalam director Senna Hegde’s latest film, ‘Padmini,’ featuring the talented Kunchacko Boban in the lead role, alongside Aparna Balamurali, Vincy Aloshious, and Madonna Sebastian as the heroines, hit theaters on July 14.
The film, produced by Suvin K. Varkey and Prasobh Krishna under the banner of ‘Little Big Films,’ has garnered attention for both its release and the producer’s recent statements on social media.
Taking to Instagram, producer Suvin K. Varkey expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the audience for warmly embracing ‘Padmini.’ However, he also shed light on the lead actor’s lack of cooperation during promotional events.
Despite Kunchacko Boban being paid Rs 2.5 crores for his portrayal of the film’s lead role, he failed to actively participate in any promotional activities. Varkey further added that this behavior mirrored Boban’s conduct during recent film releases as well.
Highlighting the importance of promotions, Varkey emphasized that investing 2.5 crores for the actor’s 25 days of shooting would be futile if adequate promotional support was not provided. He stressed the significance of unity among all actors involved in ensuring a film’s success and urged them to actively participate in promotional endeavors.
While ‘Padmini’ continues to captivate audiences in theaters, the producer’s comments have sparked discussions and debates on social media platforms, with fans and industry insiders expressing varying opinions on the matter.
