The Bollywood film ‘Article 370’, directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, has made a significant impact at the global box office despite facing a ban in Gulf countries. The movie, which highlights the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir by the NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, has amassed a remarkable Rs. 44 crore within a week of its release.
Released on February 23, the film has resonated well with audiences, receiving positive feedback since its debut in theatres. Actress Yami Gautam’s portrayal of intelligence officer Zooni Haksar has been particularly praised, alongside Priyamani’s performance.
Set entirely in Jammu and Kashmir, ‘Article 370’ delves into the preparations undertaken by the central government to repeal the law as well as the challenges faced by the special security team operating in the Kashmir valley. The screenplay of the film was written by Aditya Dhar, Arjun Dhawan, and director Aditya Suhas Jambhale.
The film was produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar. Despite facing a ban from the Gulf Corporation Council (GCC), the film ‘Article 370’ continues to draw audiences worldwide, highlighting its relevance and resonance on the global stage.
