Indian men’s hockey team will travel to Europe and will play two matches against Germany and Great Britain national teams.
The 22-member squad will be going on a 17-day tour, scheduled to leave on February 21, 2021 from Bengaluru. They will play against Germany national team on February 28 and March 2, 2021 and against Great Britain national team on March 6 and March 8, 2021.
Indian team has climbed to the 4th place in International Hockey Federation (FIH) rankings. The team last participated in a match against Australia during the FIH Hockey Pro League matches held in the month of February, 2020, in Bhubaneswar.
Hockey India is also working on suitable training and competition schedule for the team as part of the preparations for Tokyo Olympic Games which were postponed from July 2020 to July 2021 due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
