Odisha School and Mass Education Department promoted all the students from Class 1 to Class 8 to the next classes without examination for the academic session 2020-21.
This decision was taken in the view to the closure of schools during COVID 19 pandemic. The state government has also decided to conduct remedial classes for the first two to three months in the new academic session.
In Odisha, schools reopened for Class 10 and Class 12 from January 8. Colleges and universities for final year students reopened from January 11.
